Favorite Book: The Darkest Night because it was the first book I read and what Ashlyn did for Maddox is the greatest love in the world.
Favorite Hero: Anya from The Darkest Kiss because she's a goddess and she gives up the most precious thing to help Lucien and the other Lords.
Favorite Demon: I like Gideon's demon. I think it's because I feel sorry for him not able to tell the truth and if you meet him right off the bat he'll lie and you won't know which would hurt. If he tells the truth to you he'll feel pain so I'm not to this book but I can't wait to read it to see what happens with him and Scarlet!

This is the book that made me 100% a Gena Showalter fanatic and obsessed with the LOTU series. I felt like i could FEEL Reyes' pain and torture. Reyes captivated me and I fell hard for him. I didn't want his story to end. With Gena's words I wanted to become a character in her made up world. I wanted to be Pains Angel.

#5. My favorite book of the serious is The Darkest Night; mainly because it was the one that had me falling in love with Gena Showalter's writing. Maddox and Paris are tied for my favorite. Maddox is pure warrior to the core, but when he meets Ashlyn we see another side of him. Maddox becomes the perfect man: a man that fights ruthlessly for the ones he loves but that can love with the gentleness that deifies nature. Paris is also one of my favs; He shows us what its like to love and lose. The saying is that its better to love and lost then never have loved at all; but its hard to really believe that. Paris shows how much suffering it is to lose a love; something all of us has felt whether it be in just a small way or in the "bigger picture". Paris is the one that is most relate-able and most tragic. Its sad to see him suffer but I'm sure Mrs. Showalter has some nice plans for him :)
Though my favorite demon is neither violence or permiscuity; but it is Secrets; (though i have not had a chance to read her new book yet, sadly :( It will be in the mail tomorrow ^_^ i cant wait!) Secrets makes amund so... mysterious and sexy... much like the quiet brooding type: I love it :)

How exciting! Here were my answers:

5. My favorite hero in the story is Torin. He is 'the sacrificer' of the Lords. He keeps the group safe and informed with his technology, keeps them in wealth and healthy with his online trading (the money he brings in is what pays for the food, clothing, weapons, cars, televisions, appliances, furniture, etc., as none of the Lords have jobs), and most importantly, he keeps his friends honest with his blunt assessments of their actions. He is always willing to do the right thing, even if that action might make one of his friends angry/upset at him. And yet, despite everything he gives, he is an outsider to the group, never able to allow himself to get too close, never able to go out into the world to explore it and enjoy it. He is trapped and isolated at the fortress (specifically within his small set of rooms, with an occasional romp down to the kitchen for food or in the living area for a meeting - always standing in the back). Despite it all, he manages not to let his inability to enjoy physical affection or to engage in social entertainments with his friends or outsiders destroy his ability to love and laugh (his heart hasn't become so cynical and embittered that he hates or despises). It's amazing to me, in fact, that he's managed to maintain a semblance of sanity, given the thousands of years of his required isolation. Torin has, IMHO, the greatest strength to have survived with such a curse and to be so well-adjusted. I cannot wait for him to meet his mate, so he can have a little bit of normalcy and a heaping side-order of affection, too!

First Can I just say I LOVE this series and this giveaway is to die for!!!!

5. My favorite Lord has always been a tossup between Aeron and Amun…I love the strong but tortured silent type. I am so looking forward to seeing Amun the keeper of secrets talk. I know there is so much built up in him when he blows it is going to be HUGE!
7. I am so looking forward to the new series that Gena co-wrote with a few other great authors called Royal House of Shadows. The first book called Lord of Vampires is set to be released August 31, 2011!
