I'm happy to say that today at Among the Muses, I have the very nice debut author, Renee Rearden, on her new book, Moonlight Bleu. After reading this new paranormal read, I quickly ran off to email her and ask if in fact this would be a series! I was simply left wanting more of this world and the characters in it! (I'll have a link to my review at the end of the post).
Without further ado, Renee is here to tell you, in her own words, a little about her new world!
Tanya, thanks for having me! I’m thrilled at the opportunity to dish about my novel Moonlight Bleu.
“Another paranormal story?” you ask.
Is there any other kind? *grin*
Let me tell you a bit about New Angeles and the intriguing people that live in this city. Moonlight Bleu’s story begins a couple of decades in the future. I want to reassure you urban dwellers, however, not much has changed from our time. Rebuilding after a cataclysmic event and major geographical changes kept the world’s scientific and technological fields from advancing…much.
So let’s focus on a few key players, shall we? There’s Saari Mitchell, a true immortal. No, seriously. She can’t die. Ever. And there’s her unexplained psychic ability to cleanse auras. Heal the human spirit. Unfortunately, she has no clue why her ability works. If Saari had any family, she’d ask them. Being a 500 year-old orphan makes asking impossible. But she keeps looking for answers.
Dhelis Guidry is a detective for the New Angeles Police Department…oh, and he’s also psychic. Well, sort of. He uses the psychic medium cover in his day job, investigating and solving cases. His night job? A vampire executioner for the Tueri Council. That’s where his real ability comes in handy. He’s a Stone Rider, defying the laws of physics by moving anywhere he wishes merely by willing himself there. You can see how that would help when tracking rogue vampires.
Brogan Vincent is a Tueri healer…one of the best. He owns a massage clinic that caters to the public, where his staff uses their abilities to heal clients. Though Brogan only works on other Tueri. He keeps the members of the execution teams healthy and whole…and any innocent, human bystanders alive. Just picture Vin Diesel…totally Zen. (I did!)
So when unforeseen events bring Dhelis, Saari, and Brogan together, things heat up…literally. Sparks fly. Heartbeats pound. Each of their abilities seeks each other, connects, and flares with a startling result. They are drawn to each other with a need bordering on obsession, a side effect of their Tueri physiology.
Danger, intrigue, and smokin’ hot people scorch the pages in Moonlight Bleu. But I have to warn you, no smexin’ happens among the featured trio. Just some good, old-fashioned, seriously intense sexual tension. What can I say, I’m old school. Gotta get to know each other, ya’ know?
I can promise you this: Saari, Dhelis, and Brogan will be back.
In book two of the Tueri Psychic series, it’s all about figuring things out. How do multiple psychic abilities function together? Can a three-sided relationship work? Will a crazy ex destroy whatever chance Saari, Dhelis, and Brogan have at a real relationship?
Oh, and there’s some serious smexin’ going on. *grin*
Ultimately, it’s all about the love!
Thank you so much Renee, for taking time out of your busy schedule to stop by and give us the scoop on your current book and what's to come!
And, um, yeah, I'm not to ashamed to say that I can't wait for the... action... between the trio in the next installment! :P Renee's not kidding when she says there's sexual tension! But, there's also a whole lot of UF action as well!
So where can you find out more about Renee and Moonlight Bleu?
